MCA Tests

Hey guys!
Tomorrow I get to take the first extremely big test of my high school career!! Iknow, exciting right? yeah! No. I am not looking forward to this! I mean, all i have to do is write a five paragraph paper on whatever prompt the state of Minnesota decides to give me but still!! I wrote a practice essay yesterday for the prompt, "What was your favorite place to play when you were younger? Describe it and explain why it was your favorite.". So, I bet you're wondering where my favorite place to play was, right? Well, probably not, but I will tell you anyway! Get excited, because here it comes!! Drum roll, please! MY SANDBOX! Pretty exciting, right? Okay, I know what you're thinking, but it was actually pretty interesting to write about and think back to my childhood, when I was ages five to eight. I was originally just going to make some stuff up, but as I started writing, I realized it truly was one of my favorite places to play. Think about it! My sandbox was waaaay more than a five foot by five foot box of dust and little pebbles. My sandbox became a city that I could drive my cars around, a restaurant where I served the best sand-food ever, or, my most common, a giant volcano kingdom! Any of these different scenarios created a fun-filled time for this six year old. the best part of it though, was the fact that that little box of sand helped me become the person I am today; it took a great amount of creativity and an abundance of imagination to actually enjoy this good ol' box of sand.Looking back on it, I needed that creativity then, and I still need it now, even at the age of fifteen. In school right now, I'm in a class called Interactive Multimedia. It's a class where we get to create presentations, conduct surveys, and make up our own website. right now, we are working on a project about technology through the years. We had to pick a piece of technology and create an online poster using Piktochart to explain how it has evolved. I am working on this project with one of my friends, Kayla. I know, that is not important information, but she's sitting right by me and is making me put her name in. :) Ha well that's all for now!

See ya!
Kirstin
