Life
Oh too often as I am walking around I hear people complaining about how terrible their life is or how they have no idea what is or is going to happen with their life. It's amazing how people can just go about complaining about not knowing what their future holds. I don't understand why people are so worried about what is going to happen tomorrow rather than what is happening right at this very moment. I just don't see the point in wanting to make life go by any faster than it already does. What's the rush?
Recently I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about how he was feeling lost in life. All he wanted to know was where his life was taking him. He said that he didn't know what he was doing in life and that he didn't know where he was going to go in life. Now, my friend is only 17. He's stressing about college and a career choice, but he's forgetting the big picture. He's forgetting the right now. I asked him why he needed to know. Why couldn't he just go with it and see where life takes him? He responded by saying that that's too hard. Hey, no one ever said life was going to be easy.
You know how everyone says that life's a roller coaster ride? Well that statement is completely true. Life is a roller coaster that you can't just get off of; you have to just keep on riding to the very end. You can't just stop the ride whenever you feel like life is just too rough, and you're too scared to see what lies ahead after this next curve. You just have to keep riding and learn to expect the unexpected. There's always that feeling of excitement once you get over that next big corkscrew, and once you do get to the end of your roller coaster ride, you are going to want to be able to look back and say, you know what? I actually liked that ride.
So yeah, life isn't easy. No one ever said that it would be, but you have to make the best of it and know that after every uphill, there will always be another downhill. Just take life one day at a time. Don't worry about what is going to happen next until it is absolutely necessary too. Like I've said before and will most likely say again, Life is life. Whatcha gonna do about it?
